The Jericho community had a prayer service on Wednesday in the church. St Cecilia’s feast day was recognised, the patron saint of music. The Jericho community sang beautifully, so they did her proud!

The Gospel we heard on this occasion was from Matthew, who told us that Jesus was keen to settle a question that the disciples were having over who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus told them that unless they become more child-like, that they would not have a place in heaven.

Sometimes we see an image or a piece of art that really opens up our minds as to what the message is in the bible. I saw these images recently that help with my understanding of what Matthew was saying in this piece.
