Stage 3.5 to Jerusalem

We are happy to announce that stage 3.5 has now been named Jerusalem. After lots of investigations, research and discussions, Jerusalem has been thought as the better name than Cana. Students around the community have decided that Jerusalem was a suited name because…

Service:

  • Jesus was crucified on the cross for us and relates to service because he was selfless and died for us
  • Jesus healed the blind man and relates to service because he helped him to see
  • Jesus heals the paralyzed man and relates to service because he helped him to move again
  • Simon assisted Jesus carrying the cross and relates to service because Simon is a helpful and kind person and he knew Jesus had a hard time carrying the cross

Thanksgiving:

  • Jerusalem was where the last supper was held and relates to thanksgiving because Jesus gave his body and blood

Prayer:

  • Jesus stayed in the temple to pray when he was a kid and relates to prayer because he left his family to pray to God
  • Pentecost was situated in Jerusalem and relates to prayer because the disciples prayed for the Holy Spirit
  • Jesus prayed in The Garden of Gethsemane which is located in Jerusalem and relates to prayer because he prayed to God for strength in service

Reconciliation:

  • Jesus forgive Judas for trying killing him and relates to reconciliation because Judas said sorry and Jesus forgave him
  • The two people beside Jesus on the cross reconciled before they died this relates to reconciliation because they asked for forgiveness

These are the reasons that captivated the students into wanting Jerusalem.
