Palm Sunday/Holy Week
In our communities across the school, we are exploring with the children, the most important week of the Church's year - Holy Week. Palm Sunday is this coming weekend. We asked the children to keep Jesus close in their hearts, to remember how much He loves them, and to spend time in prayer with Him. Encourage your children to reflect on Jesus’ Passion and journey to the Cross this coming week by bringing them along to the Holy Week services in your parish. The way to reflect on the cross, is to highlight this as the ultimate symbol of love. He died for us, and was put through immense suffering, but ultimately because Jesus wants us to live eternally with Him. Allow the cross to be a reminder of God’s love.
Congratulations to all the children who celebrated their First Reconciliation on Saturday. It is a very fitting time to receive this sacrament as we come to the end of Lent. This sacrament, as with all sacraments, is a way for us to form a closer relationship with God.
Lastly, a reminder to all to bring back the Project Compassion boxes to school. Many thanks for your generosity.
