Dear parents
I hope you are enjoying the sunshine and the early signs that the seasons are changing. These little glimmers of hope are wonderful insights into the longer and warmer days to come. As we get into the middle of our Stage 4 shutdown perhaps we too can look around for those little glimmers of hope.
Thank you to the parents who have given feedback to teachers when we have called or emailed so that we can continue to tailor the work to suit.
Much of the feedback has been around Google meets, explicit teaching and contact phonecalls. Because this will change the focus a little the decision has been made to reduce the number of 'treasure chest' items each week that teachers must give feedback on in order to ensure they have sufficient time for the meetings and videos. Staff will however continue to collect evidence of learning from what children post to SeeSaw and this wll contribute to the report at the end of the year.
As always your children should be reasonably independent doing the school tasks set. If you are findiing that you are having to give significant support to your child please email the class teacher and explain what is challenging. This will help for setting adjustments for learning.
Wishing you all a safe and happy week.
Kate
