Dear Families
As we begin to emerge into the covid normal of 2021 we are very pleased to share with you the events that we believe will be able to continue with the current restrictions.
You may not be aware but our school is bursting at the seams. We currently have 700 students enrolled and this poses a number of challenges in terms of meeting the person per square meterage rules. We are looking forward to our new shelter over the basketball court which will allow us to plan and host events even in wet weather.
In the table below are the events we will be running and give date and time. If you are putting these dates in your calendar please check PAM and the Important Dates page of the newsletter closer to the event to be sure no changes have had to be made.
Should you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or the community Learning and Teaching Leader. Senior leadership can be reached via email (see below) or phone on 5998 9293.
You can contact principal Kate Dourley, principal@cranbourneeast.catholic.edu.au ,
Deputy Principal Inclusive Education Mrs Jen Gulavin jgulavin@cranbourneeast.catholic.edu.au
I am available at tbarwick@cranbourneeast.catholic.edu.au. We are keen to get to know the community so please feel free to approach us on the yard to introduce yourself.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Treasa Barwick
Deputy Learning and Teaching

Parent Helpers in Foundation to Year 2. Parent helpers are widely appreciated working with the classroom teacher to support students as they work in small groups or individually within the classroom. To begin this venture, we will have two parent information sessions. Attendance at one of these sessions is compulsory for those wishing to volunteer their time in the classroom. A letter explaining the process for signing up to volunteer will be sent home later today via the PAM platform and through parent emails from Mrs Sarah Chappell (Foundation Learning and Teaching Leader) and Rebecca Jeffery (Junior Learning and Teaching Leader). |
Ongoing - look out for the note sent home today. |
Foundation to Year 2. (Bethlehem, Damascus, Galilee & Jerusalem). |
Parent Helpers for other School Events During the school year, we have interschool sports, excursions and other activities planned. Parents should keep an eye out for information in the coming months should they wish to apply to volunteer their time for one of these. |
